It's just Finder.
Drag, drop, rename, open in any app. Every program on your Mac sees your storage as a normal folder, because it is one.
Nothing fills your disk.
Browse a whole bucket without downloading it. Files arrive when you open them, and you can free up the space again with a right-click.
Built on Apple's File Provider.
The same technology as iCloud Drive. No kernel extensions, no drivers, nothing that breaks with the next macOS update.
Your keys stay with you.
Passwords live on your Mac and go only to the service you connect. Google, Dropbox and Microsoft sign-in happens in your browser.
Connects to what you already use.

Questions
How is this different from a sync app?
Sync apps copy everything to your Mac. Mountbay shows what's on the server and downloads a file only when you open it, so a 5 TB bucket takes no space until you use it.
Where are my passwords stored?
On your Mac. Connection details go only to the service you connect to. Mountbay has no server in the middle of your files.
Do I need to install a kernel extension?
No. Mountbay uses Apple's File Provider, the same system iCloud Drive uses. The only approval is one switch in System Settings, and the app walks you through it.
What can I do without a licence?
Set up and test every kind of connection. A licence puts your drives in Finder and adds bandwidth limits and background refresh.
How many Macs does a licence cover?
The number of devices you choose at checkout. To move to a new Mac, deactivate the old one in Settings and activate the new one.
Is it a subscription?
No. You pay once for Mountbay 1 and get every 1.x update. Version 2 will be a discounted upgrade.
Which Macs are supported?
macOS 15 Sequoia or later, on Apple silicon and Intel. A Windows version is in the works.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If it doesn't work for you, email us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund.
